Bent Roses: Booking Info

Bent Roses is the high-energy trio of Scott Bennett, Bill Roser and Susan Roser. They are known for a vast and varied repertoire of 60's, 70s and even 80's classics plus selected favorites from the 90's and "The Aughts." They connect immediately with their audience and get everyone involved whether singing along, dancing or just laughing and clapping to the music. Genres include rock, country, folk and most blends of popular music from the last 40 years. The band is also a vehicle for their original compositions, particularly those heard on their debut CD, “little thoughts & Big Ideas,” which can be sampled on the “Music” page of this website.

Bill and Scott cut their performing teeth in Colorado during the early and mid-70s. They performed primarily cover tunes in bars, restaurants and clubs around Denver and in the Colorado ski areas including Vail, Copper, Breckenridge, Keystone, Aspen and Steamboat. They performed together and as a duo and also with a number of bands made up of various combinations of their peers around town.

Scott has been performing non-stop for over 35 years. He is the lead guitarist with a number of local bands including Runaway Express, The Rejuveniles and the Modniks. Whether you're listening to his soaring 1962 Stratocaster or his intricate, expressive acoustic work you'll come away believeing he is one of the finest guitarists you've ever heard.

Bill took time out from full time music to raise a family and work in the business world. His forte is the acoustic guitar where you'll hear everything from Pete Townsend inspired rythym work to finger-picking reminiscent of early Paul Simon tunes. Bill writes the band's original material including 11 of the 13 songs on "little thoughts & Big Ideas." He has more than 20 years of professional entertainment experience.

Susan performed as the lead singer in a number of bands around Denver in the 70's and 80's including "Projector" and "Bwana Boom & The Secrets." She has pursued a business career for the last 20 years but is now looking forward to getting back on stage ("where her lovely voice belongs," say Scott and Bill).
